Again the COM is turned rearward from the get go. While the back knee stays ‘in’. That’s what keeps the weight back. The hips stretch the core against that when they go forward. His hands are connected to his middle much longer.

This swing is more akin to a golf swing load. Shoulders load early, core is pulling instead of being pulled.

Edit: oh yeah! The HLP is based off the one legged golfer. I forgot. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Oh yes, Judge is now doing what you teach. lol 😂

After all the negative comments you made. 🥎🥎🥎 strike three.

Forget about who teaches what, I think comparing AJ is useful. If you think that it is tempo/timing, which is obviously important, that is fine.

I said it quite a few pages ago.. AJ now has classic looking mechanics. Which I happen to advocate for. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Edit: I believe Mike admitted to a flatter plane & more front leg use as well.

‘Video doesn’t lie’.. some infamous person.

Forgot to address the feeling of ‘readiness’ at stride or ‘go’. it’s the sequential load of the core countering against the hips moving forward/against this.

The back leg weights itself, the hips respond forward, the core stretches away from the hips. The ‘old’ golf swing had stability up top but nothing from the middle or lower.

No early scap crap, no outrageous hip coil. Much better.

Similar UFA's but Trout's are much bigger.

One leg, two leg, 5 legs..whatever. I think the key is the bolded. He is “walking away” from his hands much better now imo.
This doesn’t exactly answer the question about the walking away from the hands. What I’m meaning to show is the walking away is done with the loading of the back muscles. This in addition to the torso moving in a more circular loading pattern.

The coiling of the rear leg in part helps control the forward move. To me, this is one of the contributors to AJ success. It some of his old swings, it looks like he falls forward.

I know you are not saying coil is the only part of the forward move but you can coil and if you just stick your front leg out to stride you will be stuck back (Rich is borderline doing this in the video you posted in post 628)..Try it, as uncomfortable/nonathletic as it may be/feel....

‘As my leg goes down, stretch.. that felt really good.’
