Pretty much sums it up. Back pattern works. Gotta cast and tilt though to make it work. The oblique pattern is more natural. There really are no compensations w the oblique pattern. Just gotta get leveraged and use the obliques. Don’t need 1,001 drills to learn it. Or make it work.

Nice video WW !!!

The contracting obliques against the hips extending.. Decel becomes the result.

One of the best that got the shift out of the way before swinging.

Simply on and around.

So, a puncher type swing is different from a old timers swingers type swing?

Swinger type would be:

Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Jimmie Foxx
George Brett, Eddie Murray, Darryl Strawberry, Cal Ripken Jr, Tony Gwynn
Dave Winfield, Julio Franco, Jesse, Barfield, Frank Robinson
Gary Sheffield, Eric Davis, Pete Rose,
Wade Boggs, Johnny Bench, Paul O'neill, Brett Boone, Tony Batista
Nick Johnson, Mark Grace, Rafael Palmeiro, Luis Gonzalez, Randall Simon

The key is getting the core stretched and contractING before the hands load. Transition. Active core is the running start. Not a barrel Turning behind blah blah blah. That’s the result.

It’s why we gotta stay on top initially. Centripetal force will drop the head too early.. bc something is already acting upon it’s destination. The core is pulling UP which brings the bat head down. Once you learn core work early.

Barrel turn first vs core turn first. Notice the segmentation Bonds has; core then front elbow vs TM core and elbow together. Very very different power sources. One is getting pulled the other is pushing errr casting errr turning. In reality spinning.

Here, is good example of using the back to create club head (bat) speed behind you. Looks to even get the top hand supination.
