It’s Obvious your correct and I’m ok with a bent front leg. The picture of Haley , the ball is on its way in to the plate not exiting the bat. So, contact point has something to to with in this hit. Thanks for the input.
I'm down with this, barrel control. Never swing a bat that's too long, gonna cause problems.I'm not usually a 'bat-as-solution' guy but I will say this. With my younger daughter I kept her in a short, light bat longer than most of her peers. Now she was a little thing to begin with but very athletic and twitchy. I'm talking 28 inch at 10u and no rush to get longer or heavier. It helped her learn how to use her hands and not prematurely start dragging around something too long/heavy for her.
So one of the things I’ve learned in hitting, if you take something away like using the arm less, you have to replace it with something, like the shoulders. This is not the finished product but a work in progress.
Sharing so others might get some value from it with their student.
