Swing down in back and then up.





Look at the disconnection in his swing. Not good. Very sloppy arm action, using the arms to swing.

Extension or lack of, timing adjustments.

like the gif. Not the quote. They are all trying to get extended. They don’t want to hit with bent elbows. they will sacrifice some POWER for contact and let it get deep at times. But they all want to extend the arm and then wrist. It’s a power move bc force is still being applied.

If you want to say they are timing their release of the barrel, I’m good w that. But extension is not a timing adjustment. It’s good mechanics.

Altuve’s bat is finishing arcing as extension brings the barrel forward, a timing mechanism.

Like Edgar, Altuve is squaring the bat as it movea forward. The bat is moved forward with very little arc left as the swing progresses.

Force still applied? Well your trying to time the ball. lol

Take Bellinger above. There is no connection of the lead arm pulling back into contact. He might be extending, but it’s terrible.
