I like the idea of moving fences back because it will give us more balls in play. More great defense, more singles/doubles/triples. I think it will make the game more exciting.
Yes! I enjoyed when the fences were not close like 200 or 210.

Also Think by now with the changes they've made it might be fun to see more defense in action. Definitely more distance on the field would make for more plays and still have some home runs.

***The ball not having as much flight will keep it in the park more often!

Without reconfiguring home run fences.

When it comes to home runs, a very small number of teams are hitting multiple home runs every game. Why change the rules for a problem that isn't really a problem?
Should every game have a home run in it? Present the question of how many home runs should be involved in games.

IMO this is not just about home runs that is just a contributor.
Even without home runs there are tons of more Runners on base.

Including the
not have to move out of the way on an inside pitch and just stand there and get hit by it and be awarded first base.
Took away inside pitch location from pitchers cuz batters doht have to make an attempt to get out of the way.
LOL and created a new way for an on-base average

The ball is a cheaper product to replace then everyone bats.

If anything people can recognize from this discussion how the changes did change the game a heck of a lot.

How many college softball games were on ABC when you played?
Why do you ask that question? Probably you are throwing that out rhetorically because you know that is only started this year aside from the Olympics.

Later 80's
College Games were just starting to be televised.

*never said the changes were bad!
in fact I've actually commented the changes were good
because it has grown softball!

A MAJOR POINT HERE IS
* it is undeniable how different the game can be changed by changing things like equipment and rules.

Yet you want to reign in the hitting for some reason. If you can prove to me there are less competitive games nowadays because of the "boom" in offense, and that it is getting worse, then you might have a point that at some point the popularity will start going the other direction. You haven't done so because I don't think it can be proven.

Also yes I knew the answer, I was making a point.

No
Chatting about the ways the game is manipulated.
( that's all the conversation is. there is no other ultimatum or underlining motive)

Simply chatting about the way the game is manipulated.
