I have noticed that very few catchers gloves That are are really much good. I like the Nokona line and my current catcher uses a Mizuno And I have a wilson A500 I think it is any way.
But lots of them seem poorly made and designed.
What do you folks use?

Several catchers I've worked with use the Akadema APM-66. It breaks in quickly, secures the ball well, and seems to be pretty well padded.

I just got a Wilson A2K FP-CM11 . I gave it 2 coatings of conditioner, tied it a ball in the pocket for 2 nights and have been working it by hand to help loosen it up. So far it seems to be loosening up good. It seems ot be made well and looks like good padding to. The test will be when my daughter takes it to practice to try it out.

DD users a Nokona CM275, really nice mitt. I'd have her a try an SSK if I could find one, but they're like hen's teeth. Besides those two, probably an Akadema if they made a smaller size (dd is 12u).
