Catcher's gear recommendation for 13 y/o girl

Picked up a used set of Wilson Shock helmet and leg guards, and a Schutt chest protector. All for $50. Used one H.S. season only. I think it's a good deal. I looked up the model #s and the stuff is over $200 new.

Heck yes, for that price, you can't really lose IMO. I hope she has fun!

We picked up the gear last night and DD couldn't put it on fast enough and ORDER me to go out back and pitch fastballs to her! I am very interested to see what happens when she receives against a pitcher on her TB team who can hit 60, with a live batter in the box! Could be a short career

Make sure you get to do the flinch drill with her at least a few times in her career, you'll love it. ;-)
