well what’s 2 weeks more when it has been done for over a year now. Production issues or they are sending out so many demos that they depleted all the ones in inventory to sell?

As you stated earlier your buying is already done for the year because the release date was not on your schedule

Most manufacturers will have a set introduction date and prohibit early sales if the ship date is sooner. That said I seriously doubt this dealer has Meta bats in stock

Its a great bat.

No need to argue but they are in his store. Why is he not selling them at this point, I have no clue.

Not sure? August 5th is the release date is what he said. I have bought equipment as our schools AD for over 20 years and that’s the store. Why would I lie about it?

There is nowhere that says you cant "show" the bat...you cant sell it til when they
say technically. I have had that happen...they ship bats a few days early and
say you cat sell till yada yada. But nowhere does it say you cant "show" the bat.
Never had bats for 3 weeks that they say you cant sell.

No I merely stated the obvious, LS in its delay lost the prime selling season for bats as June/early July are the highest totals outside of the serious sales in November.

Also, I can tell you that a number of Dick's stores received their bats and LS has put a sell date on them. Dicks then scans the UPC and it is in their system that when rung up before August 5th it will not allow the transaction to occur.

As for the mom and pop stores, yes they will likely do cash sales and then record the transaction on August 5th.

went to the back room and took a pic out and showed you the pic...like some drug deal
going on and he was "showing" you he had the stash...hahahaha.

There are def "sale dates"...just never seen bats shipped 3 weeks prior and cant do anything with them.
Had a few days to a week. I would have taken deposits atleast on them. That way they are sold and
people dont just jump on the internet and buy there.

Meta’s are about 1/4 ounce overweight. Swing lighter than a ghost, think Demarini. Weird sound. No feedback. My daughter still wouldn’t give up her PC. My rep just hooked me up with some more Demos. I will have team feedback this week

Exactly. I wasn't saying anyone was lying. The bats have been around for a very long time. I even reported it here several times. I was thinking the same thing as core. You can demo or show anything, but not sell it

Delayed sales allows companies to build a very expensive ad campaign and get stock in their dealers hands prior to the sale date.
