Thoughts on this swing?

I see slightly down through and I wouldn't consider that catching it out front. Looks like a chip shot that would leave a 200 foot field, not a major league park. JMHO... I'll take that back, I've seen that barrel path(Stanton) resulting in a ball leaving the park, just not the norm.

They start out with bat drag elements at toe touch. Rear forearm is near vertical (vs flat), and the bat head is more flat than vertical.

Then, it shows up later when the bat head is still behind the batter's head at this stage (hip slot).

The bat head should be well advanced at this point, like this.

This would be a mediocre HS baseball swing. Fastpitch hitting has a long way to go to catch up.

the back elbow NEVER gets in front of the knob. So it’s not bat drag. It’s that simple. The back elbow gets down to support the path of the bat.

Yeah, the "chip shot" thing, that's kind of what I was seeing also on first look. What came to mind is that it looked the swing of a "slap hitter", who just didn't do the run up thing before it. "In place slap swing"...is that a thing? 🤔🤷‍♂️
