We were pitching in front of the 3rd base dugout. The pitcher was out between the pitcher's plate and SS. So, every time she turned, this guy's belly was shining in the sunshine. She just said flatly "There's snake out there."
The dad and I went out to look at it. It was the first one that I have ever seen. He threw a bat at it and got it to slither away.
Just another practice, in Tucson. In fact my logo uses a rattler as the S, in Tucson.
