More of a rant, but maybe I can explain this ok
NSA. Time has expired. Finish the inning. We are the home team. Score is 4-3 them, runners 2nd and 3 rd. 2 outs. Girl hits a flare into the outfield, both runs score. Home plate calls ball game. 5-4 us. One of the other teams coaches starts screaming the batter never touched first.
Umpire in field immediate reaction is to overturn call and give win to other team.
Over the next 20 minutes we find out that neither umpire was watching first base and they had no clue whether she actually touched it or not, they actually said this. “We didn’t see it”. We have it on video , inadmissible, Call TD over and after a lengthy discussion and a couple phone calls, we win.
15 minutes later they change their minds and give it back to the other team and knock us out of the finals. The coach of the other team called somebody and then the TD’s phone rang. Strangest thing I’ve ever witnessed. Felt so bad for our girls.
