Went to a clinic run by coaches of a D1 school, their suggestion if a player wants to stand out is: she should sit down and write a letter with pen and paper introducing herself and her reasons for attending said school. The coaches said they get hundreds of emails every year, but a player that takes the time to write and mail a letter gets their attention!
