I was curious about how many games some teams play in Texas if they go deep into the playoffs.
Of course they can play 3 pre season tourneys too.

In Mass. tryouts started March 18 this past season. A HS team is not supposed to practice with their coaches before tryout date. Though some teams are known to jump the gun by playing in winter high school age leagues and others do captains practices which are frowned on by the MIAA our HS governing body. Mass Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Games start late March to early June!
