MA accents are weird. Where I am from (Southern MA) it is a blend between "Boston" and New York. But yes, I get "where are you from" all the time. If you ever watched the 30 for 30 on Chris Herren, that is what I sound like.

People usually guess NY before MA since they associate Boston with JFK and my accent sounds much less regal than that
