OK, this is cool...
Awesome pic! Really shows how much flex these softball bats have, as 2 piece bats!
From a performance standpoint (e.g. trampoline effect), the "flexing" mode which is important cannot even be seen in these pics/videos.Awesome pic! Really shows how much flex these softball bats have, as 2 piece bats!
Ok is this shutter effect or real? I cant believe the bat bends that much.
So i guess there is two flexing points to discuss, the handle flexing and the barrel trampolining. From a performance standpoint (e.g. trampoline effect), the "flexing" mode which is important cannot even be seen in these pics/videos.
Yes. This thread has now totally gone off the railsSo i guess there is two flexing points to discuss, the handle flexing and the barrel trampolining.
Or in that direction? What would have happened to cause that...did her hands stop suddenly just prior to contact?Ok is this shutter effect or real? I cant believe the bat bends that much.

In Pic 6ms however the ball is a bit of a distance from the barrel. in the above photo of the Ghost bat, the ball is still right on the barrel. Maybe she was early and barrel whipped out to meet it?
See halfway down, pic 6ms after impact. In short the impact causes a traveling wave which reverses direction once it reaches the end of the bat.
