does anyone in the know have an opinion on the ls omaha pro ball glove or the nike mvp prospect ball glove. academy has them on sale for $39 and the granddaughter needs a backup as she is currently using her fathers high school glove(12in mizuno). second year 8u age group.

not familiar with those. we keep a A800 in the bag as a backup to her A2000. in the 200-300 price range there are many good gloves, imho, not soo much in the lower price range, hard to beat the A800.

Omaha Pro -Currently a primary glove for my kiddo.
For the money (under $50 on sale) I'd buy again and again. When she moves up to a 12" ball I'll buy her any glove she wants although I'd hope she just uses a basically new Rawlings we have laying around.
The Rawlings glove while bigger weighs about 50% more. She says its heavy and it is compared to the OP glove being used.

Need to ask, why do you have new gloves laying around?

I love nice things a collector of sorts. I still have several gloves I'd like to add to my collection (rawlings prmo series). I like my whiskey collection and cigars. :)
