I'm always surprised by the people who say they hate hs softball. I'm not saying your experiences aren't true. It's just that every complaint you have about hs also applies to travel ball (for someone). It's just that the shoe is on the other foot and maybe it doesn't affect you. Parent coaches? Politics? Are we kidding. There is someone on your club team who isn't having any fun. Look around. What would you say to them if they said it was unfair? I'm sorry for any truly toxic situations, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But I wonder if sometimes we get comfortable on our club and are like ...

What makes travel "better" for so many of these parents is that they can just jump to a different team, and that's harder if not impossible for school ball. I wonder how many of those parents have kids who play on a different team every year because the parent is on an endless quest to find the perfect coach.
