This falls solely on the coach's shoulders. It's his job to know every inch of the rules.

This is no different than the "no independent" rule in our state. Not knowing the rule is no exception if caught. And you can bet any spectator from a rival school sees lil Sally playing travelball during the HS season will have his phone video all over it.

Too bad they don't take the pitching rules as serious. Sad way for a team to forfeit, but I bet the program won't make this mistake again.
