Long toss

Is it good to do long toss with a beginning pitcher who is still working on her mechanics? Would doing long toss cause a set back?

Depends on where she's at with mechanics. If she has whip down, step backs are ok. If she's still struggling, I'd keep it up close.

Work on mechanics first, long toss can mess that up, she might try to hard.
