My DD was called to home plate at the end of the championship game yesterday by the umpire. He gave her the game ball. I told my DD that was a special ball because it's not often that an umpire gives a game ball to someone. I asked her what she did with it? She told me the other team played a really good game and their coach was very encouraging so she thought he should have it. I am very proud of the sportsmanship and kindness my DD has.
