No, it's an old tough guy rule to pretend it didn't hurt.My daughter absolutely railed a batter in the butt yesterday (sorry- it looked super painful)
A bunch of coaches started yelling Don’t rub it.
Is this legitimate medical advice for some reason?
And funny to yell. Sometimes I’ll yell rub some dirt on it
Butt (pun intended) don't you want the bruise to be as big as possible as a badge of honor? My DD owns the record for HBP's on her college team. And always lead her TB teams and HS teams for HBP. Lots of ugly (strike that) GREAT pics!Actually, rubbing a muscle that was hit hard by a ball can increase swelling since there is probably a contusion (bruise). First thing I’d be doing would be icing the area to help prevent excessive swelling/bruising.
Ha! That’s how I would be too, but not if you want the pain to dissipate a lot quicker.Butt (pun intended) don't you want the bruise to be as big as possible as a badge of honor?
