Look to see where you hit the ball immediately after you hit it...as you are dropping the bat and beginning to run. if its in the infield you run through the base...no need to look anymore, look to the right after you touch the base (in case of bad throw)...if its in the outfield off the bat, set up your turn and listen for the base coach to tell you to either go 2 or just make the turn. if you look for the ball 1/2 -1/2 the way down the line you will run slower (especially at the younger ages) If its hard hit to right field run through the base as if hit in infield.... bottom line is: LISTEN TO BASE COACH.
