We played at an ASA Tournament a couple of weekends ago, and the PU asked for help from his BU without the catcher even asking. The Batter checked swing; PU immediately stood and pointed and asked did she go? BU called it a swing. We were on defense so it helped us, but I was wondering about it.

I do it from time to time, if Im not sure the batter offered or not I will immediately go to my partner for help. It can be particularly helpful in the case of a possible D3K. If you arent sure if the batter offered and immediatly go to your partner it can stop a lot of headaches.

Apparently, this umpire believed he was blocked or missed something.
