Since the NPF isn't the NGB and since I haven't noticed any effort or desire for them to associate themselves with ASA, I doubt NPF will be involved. Of course, that could change in the years to come, but I wouldn't be betting on it.

The professional players will individually make their own decisions whether to play NPF or on the national team. Many opted to play on the national team when softball was an Olympic sport and they received stipends. Many opted to play NPF when the stipends were discontinued after softball was dropped by the Olympics. It will come down to which offers the best opportunity.
