What is the best glove for a 15yr old, very dedicated 1st baseman (rht)? Looking for one to last until college. Currently using a coaches old one, it’s in rough shape though. She has a regular mizuno glove and loves it, so if the mizuno 1st baseman’s glove is good, we would try it.

If you're looking for something a little different/cheaper, take a look at Gloveworks custom. It's very well constructed. I ordered one when my DD was 15. Gorgeous leather, it arrived extremely stiff but broke in without too much work, and it has held up like a tank. She loves it.

Look for sales they have coupons for 20% all the time.

Gloveworks does make a super glove. My grandkids have each had one. Another nice glove is Glovesmith (the American made model). My grandson in college has one.

I got this a few years ago on lht clearance for under a hundred bucks. I absolutely love this glove. The pocket is amazing. I've caught thousands upon thousands of pitches with it and it's still in great shape (could probably be replaced at some point).

I think they make a 12.75, but this 12.5 eats up a 12" softball. And even after seeing tons of use and feeling broken in so as to feel like an extension of my hand, it still stays open on its own. Now, will it be as durable as Rawlings horween that could catch a hand grenade and just need some light conditioning? Probably not, but it ain't no slouch.1000008083.jpg1000008082.jpg

This will last through college:
But if she’s not dedicated to the effort, that will also be when she finally breaks it in! ?
Yeah she will definitely work to break it in, but she hasn’t liked the Rawlings gloves very much in the past. She had a liberty advanced that was absolutely hated, and it was a terrible glove ?. She has longer fingers, so any insight on the fit of this one?

Good to know, she absolutely loves her mizuno, so this is definitely a top runner.

Yeah that DCT that Lemond posted is definitely not a Liberty Advanced, those two should never ever be mentioned in the same sentence again!
