My DD's team has some parents who can't afford to fly to tournaments, so they try to keep tournaments to drivable distances. We aren't in So Cal, but Denver is about a 20-hour drive from us. We've done Vegas and the Colorado tournaments.

Right..so in that case any time they play out of state parents should complain not only when it is Alliance vs PGF issue..
No, disagree.
Not everybody wants to complain.
That and people make the decision to play out of state purposely, willingly and wantingly to get different exposure and vacation time.

*Additionally much of the time players leave California to go play in other states they are also incorporating campus visits and College camps into the journey.
Is a good way for players who are intending to go to college out of state to get a look at new places.
And for those who have no clue about other states recognize where they are might be the best place.
( * from any state to any state)

Right never said everybody wants to complain but the fact of the matter is people ARE bitching because they are being made to play Alliance rather than stay in CA to play PGF. Are those same people complaining when they go out of state for other events or is it just because they have some issue with the Alliance vs PGF turf war? @Rolling Hard ?

Or maybe it is just where the Alliance events are being held (Indiana,OK,etc.) Maybe CA people can give Alliance a list of acceptable places they would like to visit..(sort of a like a no-trade clause in MLB...) :ROFLMAO:

imo in either case Think that is lack of taking responsibility for someone's own actions.
People are bitching about their own decision to play for a team that forces them to do something they don't want to do. That's not alliance or pgf fault.
Nor the coach of a team.

Also I don't see it as a Turf War it is business competing with business that offer extremely similar result. Perhaps people thrive when they jump on the bandwagon with something. Even if it cost them more money to do it, they like the Big Shiny object and are attracted to it. While others have a different View.

For some people it is a turf war...that is why you see orgs not letting their teams have the freedom to play where they want (you won't see DD's org ever play PGF anymore nor will the Bandits ever play Alliance). I do think that is dumb..

I would not say it's a Turf War because what's happening on the field is the same. It is simply where people are spending their money.
Perhaps could call it a 'money war' but I don't think it has anything to do what's happening on the field.

Kind of have to reflect on the fact that all the people who started Alliance those teams all play here in SoCal. The teams that might want to play against them get the chance to play them here anyway. 🤷‍♀️ can play against them regardless of alliance or pgf.

lol..the word Turf had nothing to do with the field surface Rad..

turf war:
an acrimonious dispute between rival groups over territory or a particular sphere of influence.

Yeah I would have been fine Alliance never happening and DD's org playing PGF Nationals every year. Now that it is here I am fine with them playing Alliance as long as the competition is good enough...I am easy to please :ROFLMAO:

😉 my comment was defining it to
'money war'. Business is the root.
