Even better if I have a runner on 2nd with no outs I have a 70 percent chance of scoring but if I bunt her to third it goes up to 73 percent?
That would be great if only 1 run won a game..you have to look at the total runs expected from each scenario to get the real picture in terms of the whole game..

I just posted the charts.

I don’t want to interpret numbers.

I do enjoy reading the analysis you guys are doing, it’s interesting to me.

Where are the charts for 18u and 16u and 14u and 12u and 10u? Those are the only ones relative to this discussion board. Comparing D1 fielders to 10u-18u is not apples to apples.

Honestly none of those charts are germane to to the discussion because they only chart static outcomes. There is no +/- built in to account for errors or unsuccessful FC's that come with bunts.

Any coach using those charts to make decisions about bunting is really doing a disservice to their team since they don't specifically chart bunting. They chart runners on base. Big difference. You assume bunts are automatic outs if using those charts. That's ridiculously narrow minded.

There are no charts..do what you want. If you want to assume the other team is going to screw up as your strategy go right ahead..

The runs expected (in D1 softball) for a runner on 2nd with no outs is 1.338 runs. The runs
expected for a runner on 3rd with 1 out is 1.057. Again if you know you only need 1 run to win, bunt them over.
Thats a long-winded agreement. Wife ignore you much.

They can only comment about things they know everything else is off the table.
