My swing progression from the big muscles do all the work to the hands control the swing.

thanks Shawn. but none of these are close to a match to mlb guys. I think my student is more of a match. so I guess I know which way to go when trying to duplicate the best. As far as the hands being in control.. LOL is that what you’re after? Bc that’s WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING FOR 5 YEARS !!

Yeah I don't know. I will let @Work=wins explain himself because I may have botched what he was saying but to me Sanchez just looks rushed compared to Posey from a purely qualitative, what my eye sees, perspective

exactly. Get the slack out early. So one can plane early. So one can launch early orrr later. Can’t load late and adjust to early right? It’s that simple. but I think Sanchez load hurts him. He’s on top of his leg and the upper gets loaded late every time. His hands can’t whip on time etc etc. he’s one pitch at a time. whatever he’s looking and gets can be an adventure. you can run into some balls. But adjustability suffers.

I think it’s a fine and delicate line. I think you can cover 2/3 of the plate at once. but full plate coverage on any given pitch is a fantasy at the upper levels Imo.

What is your benchmark or reference for know if the hands load late?

I haven’t studied his swing. I have seen it and didn’t care for it.

Rich helped him get his big contract which worked until pitchers found the holes and umpires started calling the whole strike zone.
