I'm a user, not a collector. As a musician, I would never buy a guitar that I couldn't play, no matter how "special" it was. As such, the idea of buying a glove that I couldn't use makes no sense.

I just hung up with Jimmy, he just made me a smoking deal on his Les Paul "Number 1", I'm having him ship it directly to you under one very important condition..........you can never play it!! Deal?? You do understand the relevance of this Gibson right? Deal??

and.

I understand you did include the word "buy" in there, sorry but I'm going to direct all freight / shipping charges to you! Still a deal??

Well I’ve read every response and can’t believe I’m gonna be the first to post the only logical answer. Buy two. One to use one to showcase. Problem solved.

I did ;), got BOTH of these Horween exclusives for probably 30/40% less than the price of a Kubota Slugger once it's said and done!

You will probably think I'm crazy, but I wouldn't want it. I get the tremendous significance of the guitar, and it would be cool to see, but if it's in my house, it's going to get played. Same for Stevie Ray Vaughn's "first wife" Fender Stratocaster, or Paul McCartney's 1963 Hofner violin bass, etc....

Okay, you can play it! You just can’t tell anyone, our little secret!

Can you imagine how many hundreds of millions of fans have heard “that” guitar?? So Page acquired that Les Paul in 1969, when and what part of 1969..........?

So that guitar could have been used to record Zeppelin I, II, III, Houses of the Holy, The song remains the same, Presence, and In through the out door! Plus all the concerts and touring! Could you imagine what “someone” out there would be willing to spend on that guitar? I glad Jimmy gave me such a great deal on it .

I saw the Plant / Page reunion tour in 1998, it was magical, really can’t describe it, just incredible! I remember when they played “Gallows Pole” I didn’t want it to never end! I’ve never seen a crowd so completely wowed like that at the well over 100 concerts I’ve been to before!

Just get a Nokona......

I kid, I kid. I know your aversion to them. Now the pics you've attached are pretty darn cool. I think with your love of the game and of craftsmanship in gloves (mitts), I don't think you'd regret getting one of those beaut's.....

You're referring to the Kubota Slugger, right?

No the Japanese gloves. It’s the only solution.

Yeah, I'm probably off of that kick for now, just too many unknowns for me, although I did do a little research on some IP Select gloves last night! There's just so many great gloves out there, Chad @ SBF's is releasing a new Horween exclusive every month, I'm wanting to find a discontinued Easton Small Batch No. 26, I'd like a custom A2000 and on and on and on................

When Anna leaves for college in 4 months, I'll probably sell my gloves down to two or so and start working on a certain 1969 Z/28.
