I'd like to see a revamping of the age groups to better fit the average size of player among the age groups. 18U, 15U, 13U, 11U, and 9U.

Thoughts?

Watching the last 12 years. Size differences, maturity differences. Seems like 16 up should be one group. They can drive to the practices. 14-15 is JV age. 13-12 is 7th and 8th grade. 11-10 is 5th and 6th grade. Then the rest would be age and development. T-ball, coach pitch, modified fast pitch. The 12 year olds seem to be more physically mature than the 11 year olds. Seems like a big transition in body development.

I usually pick up players for my 18U team when they are 14-15, preferably the summer before they start HS. If a kid has skills they most likely need to be playing up as they will only get better.

Yeah. I always kind of felt the age groups u described make more sense. at least with girls.

Geez these new ads are playing havoc with the scrolling......kill the dog ad

Thinking back on DDs progression, I recall the girls at 10U who were best were larger and for the most part had entered puberty early. Pretty much everyone caught up by 12U. I don't know that it's really going to help by adopting the later maturing boy's age groups.

It makes sense to me overall. Though the strongest player on my daughter's 10U team is tiny and looks very young. She has an 06 birthday and has already played 10U for 2 years.
