The college coach Shuffle
😏 no it's not a dance.

One year coaching contracts.
( sure could be longer contracts out there, but there are one year coaching contracts)
Along with
Reasons to leave.
Reasons to be fired / let go.

Whatever the case may be know student athletes who will be juniors and will now have three different head coaches each year at the same College.

Yucky situations.

How in the heck can this situation get better?

I don't see one year contracts as a negative.

It's ideal for schools to be able to 'dump' a bad coach (spoiler: most don't) and leave for a better job if they succeed.

DD’s college coach just resigned. It was more like “if you don’t leave on your own we’ll fire you”.
She was only there 2 years but it was 2 years of body shaming, homophobic comments and a whole slew of other issues. She was a walking title IX violation.
No idea if next year will have a better coach because DD just finished her fifth year but I figure it can’t get much worse

Should the AD be held partial responsible. This is not the 1st time this coach made homophobic or body shaming comments. There has to be better choices out there

The girls should have gone to the AD after the first season but they all chickened out.
The AD most certainly should have seen it happening.

Softball at a D3 is not usually a top priority at most schools. Thus poorly performing coaches can fly under the radar (and do).

The prooblem is that these coaches just move on to another school because they "resigned" and didn't get fired. And their old schools won't bad mouth them for fear of a lawsuit so these coaches just move on from school to school.

This is true in many professions.
