We are playing in a local icebreaker tournament this weekend and the first game is already in the books. DDs team won 4-3. DDs was 2-2 (1 hour drop dead). Went yard on her first pitch over an adult slowpitch fence (300-325 feet) and hit a double at her second at bat for a total of 4 RBIs. The best part was she had no idea that a college coach was there watching her until after the game.

Local tourney, much of the team is still in HS playoffs, so could be interesting.

Older DD and DW are currently making their way to NM for a PGF qualifier, her 1st ever.
I will be with younger DD at her all-star tournament here.

7pm tonight, 8am and 11am tomorrow. Sunday is looking like severe thunderstorms in Chicagoland. Of course don't usually go very far on Sundays anyway so its probably for the best.

DD's team is traveling, I am home with DS. DS's baseball team had a game this morning southeast of Denver. They got their game in, but then the tournament was cancelled due to tornado warnings. We are having some crazy weather here. Temps only in the high 60s and rain, rain, rain. DS went straight from baseball to high school football practice (no tornado warnings here - yet). He's at football practice now; I'm just sitting here watching the sky, fretting, and partaking in some DFP stress relief!

DD and team (16u) flying to VA Beach and will make first ever attempt to qualify for PGF. High school season just ended so they have only managed two practices. Hopefully some of the other teams are in the same boat.

A bye and then two one run wins (second one we overcame a 6-0 deficit) leaves us ONE WIN AWAY from a first PGF berth. Wish us luck tomorrow.

Local tournaments, baseball and softball. DS played decent, his team fell apart though. Somehow they squeaked into Sunday, early games. DDs team went 3-0, run ruled two of them. She caught well, throwing out a couple base runners, batted lead off and started every game with a double or triple. So, it was a fun day. Off to baseball and softball again this morning. Good times.

We are at the fields right now after going 3-0 yesterday. DD had a good day in front of a coach at a school she's considering. Hopefully the team does well today!
