Luckily my DS is 4 years older (20) so we let him decide if he wants to come. Usually he doesn't which is helpful since he can take care of the dogs, house etc. He is a wonderful kid - we have often talked to him about DD's softball and how it cuts into his life. His response? "She is good and deserves to see how far she can go." What a kid!

My youngest played for a while and liked it. Then played machine pitch for a coach that yelled and screamed like Bobby Knight. That was the end of her softball career, I couldn't blame her.

Yeah I can see where a yelling and screaming coach would make kids not like the game.... at least he didn't throw any chairs across the diamond ...or did he lol
