joining a tournament as an individual

just about all the tournaments DD has entered are with her travel ball team. during a tournament, i heard someone talking about entering a tournament as a individual.

does any one know where we can get a listing of such tournaments? Location is VA, NC, SC

There are "all-star" tournaments that are pay to play that often take place during regular tournaments. The marketing draw is usually that the "all-star" games will be held in front of college coaches, with a guarantee inning or two of playing time at their primary position and at least one at bat.
