Finally found a pitching coach in the area that teaches IR. DD has been pitching for over 3 years the wrong way and it is time to rectify that. New coach is adamant that her mechanics are the reason for her stress fracture earlier this year.
She's had 2 lessons with lots of focus on leading with the elbow, creating IR & whip. It has been frustrating at times. It feels like she's starting over. I kind of feel like I did back in the days where there were more pitches that weren't catch than were.
I'm hoping by spring she'll have it down and she'll be good to go. I am really interested to see the results, improved velocity, etc.
