Not Chicago here but it gets hotter than 90 here in northern Illinois. We get the worst of every kind of weather. Triple digit heat index in the summer, exposed skin freezes in 15 min type cold in the winter. Tornadoes, blizzards, floods, flash floods, drought, pestilence, forty years of darkness (every winter), human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria.
Couple weeks ago we had 90 degree highs within 24-36 hours of a hard freeze. (It’s really no big deal, that’s why I don’t remember the details.)
We also have a cool thing called the New Madrid Faultline in southern Illinois so at some point we will be able to claim earthquakes.
