@Drakemir, let's make a BV1929-L custom?

Good morning Drakemir

With the almost cult following of the 1929 here, which I've never owned, I'd like to present a few specifications to this model to see if it's possible to get Vinci to maybe offer this model in the future, or see if it's even possible to build? It's Good Friday, it's pretty dead here at work today so I thought I'd play around a little....

A few great things the 1929 already has going for it are:

***It's 12.5" size, I hear this glove actually tapes out at 12.25" which is a sweet spot for me, makes an excellent utility glove!
***6oz. Kip leather, makes for a sturdy long lasting glove that will hold it's shape.
***Open back, is there really any other style glove?
*** Dual welting, makes for a really snug fitting glove in the fingers and adds structure the the fingers, actually the entire glove.

A few things I'd love to see on this glove model, which of course would make it a custom:

***Tan kip leather, and by that I mean TAN LEATHER like on Anna's very first custom, not that funky yellow tan like on our last two customs!!
***Vinci uses rolled welting, I'd love to see them use old school split (rough) welting in either gray or black. BUT, I realize this will never happen, I can live with rolled I guess.
***Laces, I know I know, we've been down this road before. Wish you could get Vinci to source some awesome tan lace like Tanners or USA Sports Direct, Huge difference!
***Here's the kicker, I think a tan BV1929 would be flat out awesome with a ME024 single post hinged web, just like the Rawlings ProRV23. My RV23 plays deep and has formed an incredible pocket. This hinged web may seem odd to some......I love H-webs too, but this single post web would be my first choice since it's somewhat rare.

I'll post a few random pics, I have a great photo of the RV23 web, plus you can really see the difference in the tan colors on a couple of DD's customs. As I said, just playing around, plus I'd like to give Drakemir a headache

--Duel Welting - I dont think I can get the rough out welted. - black or grey.
The laces.. are something I have asked about and they have gotten better - Black

We refer to these as a hybrid glove - and they are something we custom order and are not available on the website. You get the sweet, sweet optimus leather for the palm, and the really sharp looking Tan for the back and it would amazing. If I could commit to 10 of these, the price I would be able to off them for would be amazing.

And I dont mind being kept busy - Kids are all on break at my work and its a freaking ghost town..

I love that spec (H-web). If my kid doesn't want it, I would keep it for myself.

Have you actually sold some of these, or I should say, have you actually had one of these in your hands? Of course my single post was just a suggestion, and I love H-webs, we’re overrun with them here at our house. Funny thing is I have a Rawlings NP7 with an I-web mocked up on the builder, so a 12.25” I-web was/is going to be my next glove!

If you have had one to look at, do you know the exact measurement? Cause I do want it to be a minimum of 12.25”, not a 12.25” glove that barely measures 12”!

The Hybrids? Yes - we have moved a bunch. One of the guys on the west coast sells them all the time. What I put in there is all hypothetical - we can go with the BV1929 shell - and it would be a 12.5 that measures 12.25.. not 12"

And you need 10 people to commit to get a discount, do they all have to be the same web, or can you mix & match I-webs & H-webs? I like all your specs except the black lace, sorry I just love good old school tan lace, have you seen a new Vinci laced with tan lace lately.....if so what were your thoughts on it?

Edit: Look how boring my Pro303-CTB would be with black laces, which it came factory with! Drakemir, now there's some substantial tan lace!!!

I believe so. I can't picture a glove that doesnt have it. - Actually its a silver - the only option they give as its the best thread they have found

The tan would like nice ! And im fine with that - I could do half and half on the webs - we could do I or H

And yea - 10 to get the good discount - hell I would do it for 7/8 and just keep the other 3 for stock. And im talking about CHEAPER than a custom kip.
