DD Better At Another Sport--Maybe?

The DD plays club field hockey in addition to club & school softball. Give she is 5'3" & 112 lbs (with her spikes & helmet on), field hockey may be a better fit for her unless she decides to play OF full time.

This will all play itself out over the next year. She's happy doing both and keeps her grades where they need to be (3.5-3.6 GPA), so we're ok with her keeping this very active schedule.

There is "softball fast" and there is "track fast".....girls who are fast in softball are not necessarily fast in track events. Softball emphasizes a quick first step (60 foot base paths). I would suggest you talk with a track coach and let them see your DD run to determine how well she would fit in on an AAU track team.

She is on the relay team already. Wants to do the shot-put after trying it.
