I appreciate that, BNB. So many of my best life lessons, experiences, and friendships were formed through baseball, I guess I hope the same for all the girls I coach. The more I put into the game, the more I got out of it. I know what it can be ... and what you can take away from it. It's just so disappointing to see the vast majority of girls and their parents viewing it as an afterthought.
"Oh, Sally can't make the playoff game today ... her third cousin (twice removed) is graduating from elementary school and she really wants to go."
