The Air Maxx catcher's helmet will apparently include the TCU padding of their new batting and football helmets.

The TPU in their football helmets is great, and the DCT honeycomb cones in particular. What I'm waiting for though, is the day the runner turns third to see this:;-)

Hopefully you have local stores that carry a few different brands so she can try a few on. We didn't have that option....as the only thing carried locally was the cheap sets from Dick's. Our main school color is Maroon, and my DD wanted something in Maroon, so that's what got us looking at the Schutt Scorpion set. We used the MFG recommendations for measuring and ordered the size that matched....we got lucky and everything fits like a glove. She loves the easy on/off velcro on the chest protector....and the gel pads in the knees. She's had the set for over a year now and everything is holding up great.....that includes her playing school ball, 2 seasons of travel-ball, 2 fall seasons and various practices/camps/training.

I should probably say that picture was taken a couple days ago at the annual end of the fall season / halloween tournament Wearing tu-tu's while batting is not normal in our area.
