Usually, this is due to 2 things. Either her swing mechanics aren't sound or she doesn't have the strength necessary to swing it. Usually, it's the mechanics. Not saying hers aren't good but I've had 86 pound 10U girls hit a drop 10 to the fence. Heck, I've had a hundred pounders hit an 11" ball over at that age and more than a few times too.I have heard this given as advice a lot. My DD has a 30/19 and a 30/20 identical make and model and she hits the ball much better/harder/further with the 30/19. I have. been wanting to get her to the 30/20 but she doesn’t hit it as well.
Remember, an inch of length generally translates into an ounce of weight as it affects swing speed. See if she can borrow another teammates 29/19, or better yet, a drop 9 although they dont make them in that length and see which goes further. You might be surprised.
