Having been in these discussions for a very long time, there are a lot of attempts to control the language and terms of hitting and not much actual change. Reference The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams and then, add or delete whatever you want.

Thats his normal movement pattern.. Its not difficult to do if one moves correctly. I use to do the same thing when I played (thats why I post it). It's what can happen if you move out FB.

So, if it’s so easy I don’t understand why you can’t do it or show your students. I doubt very much you had this approach 20 years ago.

That’s all I’m asking for is some proof since you are always talking as if it is fact with a haughty attitude. In a previous post in this thread you tried to say another poster was leading people down the wrong road and ridiculed him for doing it.

I just showed you how to get fyb with dynamic balance.. You can doubt all you want but its why I continue to harp on the differences in the patterns, showing comparison clips.. Here is another one I put together over 10 years ago showing the difference...

Shawn, all you have to do is watch video and try to duplicate (fb/off-speed)... Try to match the Bonds clips using Rich's pattern and report the results back hitting live..

Bonds knew how to hit. I could care less about what you THINK is happening. I want to see your results. Show me your results if you want to engage in discussions.

I will be applying the HPL to kids this off season. I will post their progression. I just ask for you to do the same.
