My pitcher is never covering third. That I can tell you. Not risking a collision, an odd angle to the bag, no experience catching throws to the base, her falling and rolling her ankle, and finally, her being out of the circle, with her back to other runners. Same types of reasons I won't let her run and catch a pop foul ball to the first base side.
