I really like curling too. Like a beginning softball parent, I know just enough to be dangerously loony. :-D As I was watching some of the matches I had recorded, I got really irked at the American women. They had a shot rock, but instead of putting a stone into the other side of the house, they put one close enough to their other stone that the Swiss were able to double them off and completely take the wind out of their sails. What the heck were they thinking?
Judged events--argh! That's where the bulk of the corruption that plagues the Olympics originates. Why in heaven's name are they adding MORE judged events? I also live by a rule of my own devising: nothing that requires makeup, choreography and/or glittery costumes is a genuine sport (which belongs in the Olympics).
