I just wanted to say thanks for the advice we've been given off the forum. The drills to stop my DD's lean have been working. She had one game by the end of this season, last weekend, that was absolutely spectacular.
I haven't been catching for her for around a month to six weeks, she's been practicing with a catcher or the pitching coach. Went the other night and all I can say is practice and game time experience have really changed her speed and control.
The quadrant drill that Sluggers suggests has helped with accuracy. Although we mostly only work on the inside and outside low stuff.
We are winding down the tournaments but plan on playing Fall ball in September.
Now that the accuracy is really kicking in we are going to start working on a change up. Could have really used the change up last weekend when she pitched 3 games in a row to the same team. They caught up to the speed in the third game. Tough losing a championship to a team you beat 14-0 1st game.
