Are you two trying to pump up the 40-50 year old parents or the 10-18 year old girls?
I let others / the cloud / Google / the internet figure it out for me. Make a station on a pay service (Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, whatever) that is based off of a song your DD really likes and make sure explicit songs are turned off.
What age group? Google all lyrics before you add them to a playlist. There's a ton of garbage out there with crude words and innuendo. I have about 90 uplifting songs with a positive message. I'll try to figure out how to post it
Really really hard to pick ANY popular songs that don't have innuendos about sex or drug use. Its scary sometimes what these 9,10,11,12 years olds are singing and worse, how they are dancing to them...
With that said, I usually let them pick songs they like and then look for clean versions. I also try to let the parents know and make sure they approve as well. Most don't care but I don't want to upset a parent over music. There are bigger battles like play time, positions, etc.
I have a couple of playlists on spotify that I listen to to get me pumped before a game. I call the playlist "Enter The Savage Beast" and "Beast Mode" which was a play on Brie Bella's Brie Mode. I have all different stuff on here from Metallica to AC/DC to Motorhead to Pantera to Linkin Park.
My coach has a few different playlists on his spotify which we all chose songs for the playlist within a set of rules. I picked 5 Minutes Alone and Cowboys From Hell by Pantera, Wherever I May Roam by Metallica, Iron Man by Black Sabbath, Sonne by Rammstein and I Walk Alone by Godsmack.
