At what point does a game become official? ie a rainout?

5 innings. 4 1/2 if the home team is ahead after the visitors have completed their at bat in the top of the 5th. If the game has gone beyond 5 innings and the home team is behind and has not completed their at bat in the bottom of the inning, the score reverts to the last complete inning.
