When DD was 16u, played 7 games on a sunday in heat due to rain the day before at ASA State. They won it all in 90 degree heat. Two weeks ago 12s played five in a row on a Sunday. That is too many.
Four a day is enough. Tournament Directors allow too many teams, on too few of fields and then fail to schedule bracket accordingly. Usually not scheduling the second round in the losers bracket the night before, or not starting bracket games early enough on Saturday. It also happens when TD try to help their own teams gain an advantage when setting up the brackets, or not knowing the teams very well.
The game of softball is NOT meant to be played that way--five games a day is too many.
