Legal pitch? Swings arms back twice past hips before release

The fact that the rule states "after separating the hands" leads me to believe that the HANDS cannot stop and/or reverse forward motion anywhere between separation and delivery. The ball is in the hand, hips are irrelevant, and the arm only goes where the hand goes.

The OP states that she was going back behind her hips, twice. It doesn't matter if she was going up and down in front of her face, twice. You cannot reverse your forward motion, after separating the hands.
