This is a really great story. I love that you are talking about ramping up the development around 14u and not for example going full out 1st year 12u and burning out.

A few questions

Are only the pitchers from your team committed to schools?

How much did academics factor into the college admissions in your opinion?

Thanks for sharing.

So far from that original team there are 6 girls committed. 4 D1 (one SEC) and 2 D2.
3 pitchers
2IF and 1 OF
Academics factored into all decisions. We are fortunate as they are all great students too!

Great post. You say "find an organization that focused on pitcher development". Define such an animal. What does your org do to better develop pitchers than other orgs?
Great question because many orgs say they develop pitchers.
Our org has a former D1 stud pitcher on as our pitching coach. She works with all of the teams during winter workouts.
The winter workouts are intense with a lot of conditioning for the pitchers along with pretty long days on weekends working on pitches and speed. Having a PC on staff is such an X factor.

Did your DD also have her own PC or did she only use the org's?

If you want to see a real beat down check out that game vs glory atkins below. DD enters the circle at the 54 minute mark. I promise she is better now LOL

Watched a few warm up pitches, Does she still yell like that after every pitch? :)
